University of Iowa men’s basketball player Keegan Murray was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the fourth overall selection in the 2022 NBA draft held Thursday night at Barclays Center.
Murray, who attended and was first congratulated by NBA commissioner Adam Silver, becomes the program’s ninth first-round pick and first in 24 years (Ricky Davis in 1998).[FULL RELEASE]

With the fifth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons selected Purdue University guard Jaden Ivey. He became Purdue’s highest pick in the NBA draft since Glenn Robinson became No. 1 in 1994, and seventh among the top 10 picks in Purdue history.
Ivey is the ninth draft pick under Painter and the first since Carsen Edwards was selected No. 33 in 2019 by Philadelphia. [FULL RELEASE]

With the 10th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Washington Wizards selected University of Wisconsin sophomore guard Johnny Davis.
Davis became Wisconsin’s highest-drafted player and UW’s first NBA lottery pick since Frank Kaminsky finished ninth overall for the Charlotte Hornets in the 2015 NBA draft. Sam Dekker was also selected in 2015 , drafted 18th overall in the first round by the Houston Rockets. [FULL RELEASE]
