Arsenal pair Nelson and Guendouzi share moment after Conference League clash

Video: Nelson and Guendouzi, on loan from Arsenal, share moment after Conference League clash

Images that will no doubt bring a collective smile to the faces of the Arsenal faithful have emerged online over the past 24 hours.

The video in question comes from the aftermath of the Europa Conference League meeting between Olympique de Marseille and Feyenoord on Thursday evening.

A 0-0 stalemate between the two teams eventually resulted in Dutch giants Feyenoord reaching the competition’s final, following a thrilling 3-2 first-leg triumph in Rotterdam.

The key to Club aan de Maas’ victory in France was youngster Reiss Nelson, who picked up an assist amid a fine spell of recent form at the end of his loan spell from the aforementioned Arsenal.

And Nelson, in turn, was praised for booking his place in the Conference League’s first-ever showpiece by another Gunners loanee late last night.

As seen in the images below, on the back of the full-time Marseille whistle, Nelson was met by Matteo Guendouzi, as the pair came together to share a moment which has since gone viral among fans. Arsenal:

Abraham the difference

Feyenoord’s reward for beating Marseille over two legs comes in the form of an upcoming final showdown with Serie A side AS Roma.

Jose Mourinho’s men were also back in action on Thursday, building on a 1-1 stalemate in England to eventually send Leicester City out of the competition.

A lone goal proved all that was needed to decide things at the Stadio Olimpico, as Tammy Abraham lifted high from a corner to score his 25th goal of the campaign and keep the silverware hunt going. Very lively Giallorossi.
