Sport Witness reports that Perez is interested in leaving Filbert Way after three inconsistent years at the club. Reports have it that the 28-year-old is on Real Betis’ radar and a move could be possible this window.

Last season, Perez scored just three goals in all competitions and was on the sidelines for the team as he made just 14 league appearances. The former Newcastle striker struggled to find a consistent role during his tenure at Leicester City. When first signed, Perez mainly played on the right wing, but was soon deployed as an attacking midfielder and striker.

Throughout his spell with the Foxes, the Tenerife youth product showed promising glimpses, which were evident in the famous win over Southampton and Leicester’s UEFA Europe Conference League quarter-final triumph. . Where Perez was the impact sub to lead the Foxes to their first European semi-final.

However, his moments have been few and his future at the club has been uncertain for some time. A move could be beneficial for both parties as the Foxes need funds to make moves in the transfer market.

Moreover, the Spaniard could get more first-team football if he leaves the club. The LCFC are unlikely to recoup the £30m that was spent to bring Perez to the King Power Stadium, however, they should receive enough to start making moves this window.
