Daleville Christian Fellowship Worship Center convenes Vacation Bible School June 6-10, 6-8 p.m. each evening. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 373 The June 2022 meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. June 11 at the Friends of Army Aviation Hangar in Ozark, 189 Heritage Way, Ozark, AL 36360, in the conference room. The meeting is open to members and future members. If you qualify as a veteran with domestic service or as a Vietnam-era veteran interested in veterans’ issues, we would like to invite you to participate and join our chapter. Coffee County Conservation District will hold their monthly board meeting on June 16, 2022 at the Coffee County Extension Office, 1055 E. McKinnon Street, New Brockton, AL 36351. Military Appreciation Day, hosted by Main Street Enterprise, will be held in downtown Enterprise on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will kick off with its newest addition: the Patriot Parade in which participants will decorate their bikes, buggies, carts, scooters and trikes and march proudly down College Street. The event will also feature shopping promotions, music and activities for the whole family. Various military and veteran service organizations will also be set up on College Street to share information about their organizations and offer activities and static displays.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will host a ServSafe training program June 21-22 at the Coffee County Extension office in New Brockton. This is a mandatory food safety course for food license holders.

This is a 2-day in-person course with a written exam. The cost of the course is $140 and you must register online. This course may be necessary for restaurant managers, cafeteria managers and food vendors. It is a nationally accredited program through the Restaurant Association. COVID-19[feminine] trials will be given at the Coffee County Health Department on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. To make an appointment, call 334-347-9574.

The AVD van service for local Veterans will operate trips to Montgomery and Tuskegee on Mondays and Fridays. The van will depart from Hardee’s Restaurant on Rucker Boulevard in Enterprise at 5:00 a.m. and from the Dothan Civic Center at 5:30 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions, there is only room for four passengers per trip. Veterans who need to get to the VA hospitals in Montgomery or Tuskegee can call 334-308-2480 to reserve a spot in the Enterprise van or 334-446-0866 for the Dothan van.

The Company YMCAs will be holding square dance classes every Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the main building located on Hwy 27 across from Hobby Lobby at Enterprise. Singles and couples are welcome, no dance experience required! For more information, call 334-237-0466 or 334-347-4513.

Company Parks and Recreation hosts aerobics classes for seniors at the Civic Center Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-9:45 a.m. Make new friends, listen to fun music, and get moving!
