MCALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of McAllen’s Risk Management Department will host a risk and safety conference next week.
Expo kicks off Wednesday, June 22 and ends Thursday, June 23 at the McAllen Convention Center (700 Convention Center Blvd.)
The conference will cover topics such as workplace safety culture, cybersecurity, insurance claims mitigation, and trends in workers’ compensation. It will also include a safety recognition awards luncheon, keynote address by John Drebinger and an international motivational speaker.
“Ultimately, the risk and safety industry is focused on identifying and managing occupational health and safety risks, which is a top priority to ensure that every employee returns home. him safely at the end of the day,” said Yolanda Perez, Director of Risk & Security for the City of McAllen in the statement. “This conference will bring together top experts in the field to reinforce best practices and prepare for upcoming trends and challenges so attendees can return to their workplaces and implement everything they have learned.
