BELLA Plainfield Luxury Apartments marked an important milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its downtown core.
Plainfield Mayor Adrian Mapp attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday with Director of Economic Development Valerie Jackson, City Council Speaker Barry Goode and Steven Cheung, Managing Member of Cheung Development Group LLC, to mark the start of the new development that promises to transform the region. into a commercial and transportation hub centered on the Plainfield commuter rail station.
The location’s first major development and newest addition to Plainfield’s real estate market will feature 357 luxury apartments, commercial and retail space, and two rooftop restaurants with panoramic views.
Amenities in the apartments will include a fitness center, a conference room with coworking stations, as well as access to a large outdoor rooftop space. Covered parking and bicycle storage are also provided on site.
Located at 308 W. 2nd St., the entire four-building development was designed by local architect Brian Taylor of Taylor Architecture & Design, whose firm specializes in mixed-use residential development projects.
